A great May in the Lakes

We managed to climb both Skiddaw and Scafell Pike as a family this year. Sadly climbing Scafell we heard the terrible news of the local gunman killing many locals and then himself at the foot of the mountain in Boot. Our thoughts go to such a peaceful community that have lost so much.

These peaks really were a personal challenge for us, climbing them marked the start of a period of time where we would not be out there as a family. It was a fantastic week, based at one of our usual cottages in Braithwaite, we had stunning weather, great debates, whisky and logs fires.
